These collars are inserted between the crossmember and chassis, taking up the slop present with the stock fasteners and effectively locking the crossmember to the vehicle. This prevents unwanted motion of the crossmember, which provides a more solid, consistent feeling, particularly in sports driving.
Filling the gaps between the crossmember, chassis, and fasteners brings all the components closer to the ideal solid unit. Steering linearity is improved as all related components stay in their intended location, even under hard lateral acceleration. Unlike other chassis stiffening modifications that can make the ride harsher or cause squeaking and rattling, these collars improve handling feel without compromising everyday usability.
*The position of the crossmember in relation to the body may change slightly after installing these collars. Suspension alignment is recommended after installation.
