- Installation tips

- Remove the rear seat cushion and backrest.
Remove the trunk front trim and trunk cover (RH/LH)
- Remove the self-locking nuts (2 on each side) on the rear damper top mound.
- Trunk Trim cutting:
Cut the P5 Pattern and align it with the front edge of the trunk trim (RH/LH), mark the cutting line, and cut-it-out using scissors, a utility knife, etc.
- Remove the self-locking nut (M8) that temporarily fastens the LH bracket and pillow ball on the floor bar, and then remove the LH Bracket. (This self-locking nut will be reused when properly tightened.
Attention: Do not remove the RH bracket from the bar. (The self-locking nut is already properly tightened.)
*Advice: To distinguish between RH and LH, look at the identification markings on the top of the bracket.
- Attach the RH bracket (with the bar still attached) and the removed LH bracket to the rear damper top mount using new self-locking nuts (M10). [Tightening torque; 30N * m (3.0kgf.m)
Attention: Using and old self-locking nut may cause the screw to break or become loose
*Tools used: 14mm socket wrench, torque wrench
- Install the trunk trim. Secure the pillow ball bolts on the bar and the LH bracket with self-locking nuts (M8).
[Tightening torque: 25N * m (2.5kgf.m)
Attention: Do not use an impact wrench to tighten the self-locking nut as this may damage the washer, etc.
Tools used: 12mm spanner and torque wrench
*Advice: When tightening the self-locking nut of the pillow ball, be sure to secure the hexagonal part at the base of the pillow ball bolt.
Place the washer on the hexagonal side.
Attention: After tightening the self-locking nut, make sure that the bar moves in the direction of the rotation (arrow).
- Reinstall the removed panels.
